Where I Learn Things

Columbia University
B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science (Expected May 2027)
GPA: 3.76 | Relevant Courses: Systems Programming, Computational Genomics, Probability Theory, Security, Natural Language Processing, Real Analysis, Modern Algebra

Where I Do Things

Mathematics & Physics Tutor / TA @ Columbia & CUNY (Mar 2024 – Present)
I teach people math and physics! Specifically, I guide cohorts through the weeds of linear algebra, multivariable calc, and stats. I also ran weekly problem-solving sessions for Physics I, teaching everything from harmonic oscillations to orbital mechanics.

Head of Technology @ Columbia GSBS (Jan 2026 – Present)
I built a full-stack platform (Next.js, Tailwind, Firebase) from scratch to support over 100 members. It’s got an authenticated recruiter portal that magically generates resume PDFs and Excel exports. I also wired up a Gmail API integration to spam—I mean, notify—members.

Projects I’ve Built

Commodity Price Signal Backtester
Python, Pandas, NumPy, yfinance
Building a quantitative backtesting engine for commodity futures (oil, gas, agriculture). I’m testing momentum and mean-reversion signals and checking if the math holds up (Sharpe ratio, drawdowns, rolling volatility) across different market cycles.

BERT Fine-Tuning for Semantic Role Labeling
PyTorch, HuggingFace, GCP
Wrote a sequence-labeling system in PyTorch mapping text to Ontonotes 5.0 semantic roles. I fine-tuned transformer heads on GCP using some custom loss masking hacks to optimize across super sparse argument maps.

ELF Linker
C, Linux
Literally built a linker in C. It merges multiple object files into a runnable executable by resolving symbols and handling relocations. Low-level systems programming is wild.

Gemini-Backed Student Advisor
Flutter, Firebase, Gemini API
Built a login-gated advisor app powered by Gemini. Hooked it up to a RAG pipeline reading from a SQL database of academic records and a fun crowdsourced DB of student secrets. Later migrated the whole data layer to Firebase.
